Vermont Trip without the Stadiums

oct_trip

Friday we are off into New England, where the wife and I will be leaf-peeping in Vermont. It’s a little late in the season, but the views around parts of the state still should be beautiful. Interestingly, the stadiums planned for this trip are not going to be in The Green Mountain State. There are only two stadiums on The List in Vermont (fewest qualifying facilities of any US State or Canadian Province) and the one in season that I was aiming for, Gutterson Fieldhouse for Catamounts hockey, is not playing at home this weekend. So, we’ll stop in Hartford, CT on the way up and pay a visit to the Hartford Wolfpack and XL Center. Looking forward to seeing the old home of the Whalers (cue Brass Bonanza!). Then on Saturday, we head north and hop just across the border into New Hampshire, for a visit to beautiful Dartmouth University in Hanover. There, we’ll see a Big Green football game at Memorial Field as they play at 1:00 PM against Bucknell. The rest of the next few days we’ll be spent zig-zagging across Vermont to sightsee. Should be a great time with two new stadiums coming up. Be back next week with a wrap-up and the reviews.
