Finally, a new stadium! It’s been a long time as I feel like it’s been two weather seasons since my last trip (March 6th at Quinnipiac’s TD Bank Sports Center). This weekend, we’re taking our annual Memorial Day getaway, as we head back to Virginia for the second year in a row. This time it’s off to the Hampton Roads area as we visit the Norfolk-Virginia Beach region. Before we get down there, we’ll spend Saturday in Salisbury, MD as we check out the Delmarva Shorebirds at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium. I’ll be doing a review over at Stadium Journey for that visit.
Then the next day it’s off to Harbor Park in downtown Norfolk for a AAA matinee between the Tides and Columbus. This will be my sixth International League ballpark. Should be a nice trip and a nice kickoff to baseball season as I hope to get to 4-6 more new ballparks later in the year.
