Talk about last minute! Just today, I decided to call an audible and set up a stadium trip for this weekend. My original plans were for a Northern New England hockey road trip, but with a pattern shift in the weather and the likelihood of snow/me working increasing, I scrambled to see what I could come up with on this sunny, warm weekend. A nice doubleheader came up as I’ll be visiting a couple facilities in Worcester, MA. First up will be the Hart Center for the Holy Cross – College of Charleston basketball game. Looking forward to this one as I want to see what HC looks like as that consistent program has had some rough patches after Ralph Willard left…plus I’m excited to see CofC as they could win the SoCon this year. Andrew Gouldelock was incredible vs Maryland Wednesday and should be fun to see him in person.
Then Sunday, we’ll check out an afternoon matinee in downtown Worcester at the DCU Center for some AHL hockey between Worcester and Norfolk. That will be my 10th AHL building (8th AHL game) in a league that has quite a wide variety of arena types. Should be a good time…until next week!
